The current owners purchased Yaraandoo from Council in 2000 and changed its focus into a conference venue that would meet the needs of corporate and specialist interest groups.

Yaraandoo was built by Dumaresq Shire Council in 1999 as an educational interpretive centre for school groups and visitors to the region.

There is a wide variety of terrain with boundaries to the west formed by Serpentine Nature Reserve and Bullock Creek, whilst the southern and eastern boundaries border Serpentine Creek. The northern boundary adjoins a privately owned block.

The site is serviced by water, electricity and telephone with treatment available by a complex environmentally friendly septic system.
