Description

The 1780 white clapboard house at Blueberry Hill combines the old world charm of the eighteenth century with every modern convenience. The colossal spruce that shades the front door was planted as a sapling 200 years ago when travelling peddlers gave their customers tiny trees as a bonus.
The 98 acre property of open fields, woods, a pond and a trout stream has been in the same family since the early 60’s. A notable former owner John H. Baker was the president of the Audubon Society. Many of the trails Baker cut throughout the property for bird watching still remain in use.
Meticulous renovations of the 11 room house were completed two years ago. The wiring, heating and water systems were brought up to date. New bathrooms, and a modern kitchen were installed along with a full generator, new roof and Yankee Gutters lined with copper.

Throughout the house are random width floors, 12 over 8 windows, some with the original glass panes, all beautifully refurbished with careful attention to detail.
The present owners restored an outbuilding with a four bay garage and added a gym complete with sauna/steam shower and a sound system.
