Location
Villa Santa Chiara is situated in the heart of a small town in the Veneto region, in a private position, just a short walk from the town’s historic centre.
The famous little town of Asolo (9 km) is just 10 minutes away by car, while the major towns of Padua (54 km), Vicenza (54 km), Venice (62 km) and Belluno (65 km) are all less than an hour away.
The property consists of a main manor house with an adjacent “barchessa” (a porticoed rural outbuilding) and has a total gross surface area of approximately 1564 sqm. Description of buildings
The construction of the manor house and the “barchessa” dates back to the 16th century. Later, in the 19th century, they were partially restored and a garden with fountains, waterfalls and streams was created from a design by a French architect of the time.
The “barchessa” is a rural building, typical of the architecture of Venetian villas, used for service rooms (kitchens, homes of field-workers), stables and rustic annexes (tool sheds, storage rooms for food supplies, etc.). “Barchessa” buildings were usually built next to the manor house and were an integral part of a productive agricultural complex.
The Manor House is spread over three levels and contains the living area.
On the ground floor, there is the living area with the reception entrance, three small lounges, a study, a living room with a fireplace, a sitting room, also with a fireplace, and a dining room, that all look out onto porch, a kitchen, a laundry room, a guard room and a bathroom.

The two upper floors are used as the sleeping area:
- the first floor is divided into a central lounge, two suites, one of which has exclusive access to the large terrace, two bedrooms with private bathroom and an additional 5 bedrooms with a bathroom;
- the second floor consists of 5 bedrooms and a bathroom.

Condition
The manor house is ready to live in, but deserves some conservation work to bring it back to its former glory, while the “barchessa” building is in need of full renovation.
The two small outbuildings also need restructuring, except for the roof of the ancient carpenters’ dwelling, which has been recently renovated.

Villa Santa Chiara is surrounded by over two hectares of well-kept garden, created in the 19th century by a French architect.
