With frankness, honesty and integrity as the foundation of her practice, Belinda Bonnett Schmidt is a strong advocate for her clients. Her problem-solving techniques, operational know-how and collaborative style make challenges manageable and provide for a smoother real estate transaction from start to finish. What gives Belinda her greatest satisfaction is positively impacting her clients, whether buying or selling. Her dedication to service and results, combined with her people skills and analytical approach, differentiate her as an exceptional real estate professional.
You could say that professional services is in Belinda’s DNA. After all, her first day after college graduation landed her a job in consulting services, and she’s honed those skills over a lifetime. Both her MBA (Carnegie Mellon University) and BS in Mathematics (University of Texas at Austin) were foundational for her excellence in research, market trends, and “home” work her clients need to make an informed and fitting decision.
“The two kinds of transactions which warm my heart most are walking first-time homebuyers through the process of making a dream come true, as a buyer’s agent; and as a seller’s agent, helping empty-nesters transition to a home which enables the next chapter in life,” she adds. She must be good at it. Early on, Belinda was awarded JDR’s prestigious Rising Star Award.
As a native Texan, Belinda—along with her husband who is a long-time petroleum engineer—raised two kids in Houston. Though they are empty-nesters now, they were very involved leaders in their children’s schools: Annunciation Orthodox School, St. Agnes Academy and Strake Jesuit. Belinda’s various leadership roles in these schools, and also her church, reflect her belief in community, in contributing value, and in leaving an improved legacy for others. She treasures the deep, lasting relationships fostered along the way. Her son is an engineering major at The University of Texas at Austin and a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, while her daughter is a pre-health major at Baylor University and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
Before settling in Houston more than 20 years ago, Belinda lived in London, Denver and Pittsburgh. She is an avid reader and enjoys spin classes. While Belinda shows and sells all over Houston, she focuses her sales within Houston’s inner-Loop and other close-in neighborhoods. Having been an active resident of Bellaire, many of her clients rely on her expertise in the area.
