Kelle Hill learned firsthand from her grandmother about being an independent business owner. Her grandmother opened up an employment service singlehandedly in the 1950s, where Kelle worked during the summers between her high school years. From answering the phone to greeting the applicants and administering the various skill tests, she learned early on the value of customer service, phone etiquette and putting people at ease during times of anxiety.
Before coming to John Daugherty, Realtors, Kelle was owner of her own real estate firm for 14 years in Houston and continues to practice that same type of confidence building with her clients and customers as they go through what some consider a scary or nerve wracking time.
After graduating from The University of Texas with a journalism degree, Kelle was offered a job as press secretary to Mrs. Lloyd Bentsen, who was traveling the state campaigning for her husband in his race for a United States Senate seat. After the election, Kelle went to Washington to work for the Senator until she decided to get into real estate in Northern Virginia in 1981. Since then, Kelle has represented both buyers and sellers with equal ease, ensuring that they receive her utmost attention to every detail of their transaction.
Before moving back to Houston, Kelle spent several years in Vail, Colorado as the broker for a property management company. After moving to Houston in 1995, she did a stint with one of the entry level local home builders as sales director. As a result, she was taken to the far corners of Houston and had the opportunity to not only get to know the Houston area well, but also learned a lot about home building.
