Jim grew up in Massachusetts and his ability to focus and stay calm in pressure situations began as the barefooted field goal kicker in college. After college he took a class at Harvard on entrepreneurship and was hooked on the thought of running his own business. He moved to Newport Beach, California where he co-founded and was president of a technology sales business that rapidly grew to over 100 employees, a $30M revenue run rate, and was eventually sold to a NYSE company.
In 2003 Jim and his wife Patty began looking for a vacation home in Park City. They fell in love with the mountains and the outdoor lifestyle and instead decided to move here full time to raise their three boys. Jim became a realtor at Promontory, and quickly became the number one agent. He was instrumental in helping guide local and out of state clients through the home buying and home building process. He sold more million dollar homesites at Promontory than any agent in Park City.
Now at Sotheby’s, Jim’s knowledge and expertise helps families buying and selling homes whether it's a ski-in/ski-out property at Deer Valley, an Old Town residence, land at Promontory or a Park Meadows home. Jim's creative marketing lead to his “Location, Location, Information” philosophy. Knowing that "information" (such as pocket listings, Vail's acquisition of Park City Mountain Resort, or price reductions) is just as important in real estate, he wanted to guarantee his client's success with timely information. Jim has a 100 Minute Guarantee. If he doesn’t answer or respond to a prospective client's call in 100 minutes or less, 7 X 24, he will donate $100 to the charity of their choice even if they don’t use his services!
