Steve Blank has been selling real estate in metro Denver since graduating from the University of Denver. His knowledge of the local real estate market, combined with the enjoyment he derives from matching clients with a new home, has made him a key player in the local real estate arena. He has served as a real estate instructor, expert court witness, and was a real estate columnist for the Rocky Mountain News and Denver Post newspapers. Today, he writes a periodic market trends report for his personal clientele, associates and other realtors.
Steve’s success results from his dedication to his clients, enthusiasm, and general hands-on style. He understands that great service, a high level of integrity, sense of humor and always valuing relationships are instrumental to his reputation and professionalism. Steve has been honored as a six-time recipient of the Denver Board of Realtors TOP TEN residential salesperson award and was inducted into the Re/Max Hall of Fame. He helped open LIV Sotheby’s downtown Denver office, where he was Managing Broker for more than 10 years, managing 30+ brokers until stepping down in 2020. During that timeframe, Steve continued to be an active selling broker. He carries a deep appreciation for how much he continues to enjoy the real estate business and the people he has had the good fortune to work with.
Real estate has long been a part of Steve’s history, as his father originated and managed several offices in Pennsylvania between the 1960s to the 1980s. “There is a good quote I learned years ago, which has thankfully stayed with me,” he reflects. “’Everybody wants to buy, but nobody wants to be sold.’ To me, that quote represents the difference between long-term (career) thinking and short-term thinking. In other words, it could be the difference between merely making a sale, or having a relationship.”
