Description
After graduating from Bryant University in 1975, Michele came to Block Island to set up a business education department at the Block Island School. She taught at the school for four years.
In 1978, she became a licensed real estate salesperson. After working both jobs, she chose to enter the real estate profession full time. Since then, she has remained active in real estate on the Island.
She was a member of the zoning board, recreation board, St. Andrew's Ladies Guild and Youth Group. She is currently president of The Fred Benson Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Michele enjoys the Block Island beaches anytime of the year, has been an avid skier for many years, and started snowshoeing about 5 years ago. During the summer, she enjoys gardening and sailing and cookouts on the beach with friends.
As a salesperson, Michele has a friendly manner but is known to work extremely efficiently for her customers.

I cannot recommend Michele Phelan more highly, as a realtor. Michele was my agent for the sale of our family home, on Block Island-and there were MANY issues. First: multiple owners with less than "perfect relationships". As managing trustee, I was the one responsible for any decisions, regarding the house-sale or anything else. However, other partial owners approached Michele several times and she handled them, firmly with polite professionalism. At times, I had to contact her while she and I were both on vacation and she never let that interfere with our correspondence. She also dealt with some very difficult buyers and complicated Purchase and Sale agreements. The final result was a successful sale - despite all the people and issues involved-and Michele was never anything but polite, professional and available, anytime, we needed assistance.
