With over 35 years of experience selling the Park City lifestyle, Michael has become in tune with the market, and has a clear understanding to the different areas and what they have to offer. In addition, he has been fortunate to develop a large sphere of influence with past clients, prospects, referrals and agents, that easily totals over 2000 contacts.
In February 2014, Michael joined Sotheby’s after many years of being with Prudential (now Berkshire Hathaway), and was #3 in sales volume, for 2014. Had they incorporated his gross commission earned for the first two months of the year, Michael would have been #2, or possibly #1; he hasn’t worked out the numbers. While with Prudential, he was consistently in the top 4, and has been the #1 sales agent several times.
Sotheby’s has a full-time support system with it’s team members and staff, which are available to all of their agents, from photographers to the Principal Broker. On Michael’s personal team, Gig, who has worked with him for over eight years, is a fully-licensed sales associate, marketing guru and administrative genius. She’s extremely knowledgeable about the complete sales process, giving them over 45 years of combined experience. Recently, a third member joined Michael’s team. He’s been licensed since 2008, however he primarily focused on personal investments. He decided to pursue real estate full-time, is eager and very bright – he brings a lot to the table. With that, there is always someone available to show property. Michael and his team prefer not to key box properties, and be at all showings to point out important features that may not be obvious to potential buyers.
A native of La Jolla Shores, Michael moved to Park City in 1979, where he became the youngest real estate broker. Michael enjoyed some time in Dallas, but his love for the mountain lifestyle brought him back to Park City. When Michael isn’t busy with clients, he and his family take full advantage of Park City’s outdoor recreation. He is an avid golfer, and has been the Park Meadows Country Club, Park City Golf Club and Jeremy Golf & Country Club champion. Michael also continues to dive into the annual La Jolla Rough Water Swim.
