Michael has been a Colorado resident and active investor in Denver real estate since 1997.
Michael's unique combination of education and experience set him apart from other Realtors. Michael earned an undergraduate degree in Real Estate and Finance from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a master's degree in Finance from the Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University. Michael is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, (CFA), which is a highly regarded qualification for financial advisors and a rare distinction among Realtors.
Michael's career includes 16 years as part of the management team for Archstone Apartments, formerly the leader in the luxury apartment sector nationwide. During this time Michael headed the Finance & Treasury and Due Diligence departments and represented the company as the world's largest borrower from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac combined. Previously Michael had spent 6 years as a Consulting Manager with Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal, as part of the real estate practice that advised clients on valuation, transaction and structuring matters. During his career, he has advised clients, negotiated and closed billions of dollars in real estate transactions, establishing himself as a recognized expert in negotiations, acquisitions, valuation, due diligence, market analysis, and 1031 exchanges.
Michael currently lives in the Platt Park neighborhood of Denver. He has previously lived in several other metro Denver communities including Greenwood Village, Centennial, Englewood , Aurora and Highlands Ranch. Michael's son attends the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and his daughter attends the University of Kansas . Michael grew up in New York, has lived in Manhattan, Philadelphia and Chicago, and spent much of his childhood in Maine and Vermont.
Michael served as a Board Member for SungateKids, a Colorado non-profit organization offering child advocacy and abuse services, from 2016-2017 . Michael was the listing agent for the $2 million Grand Prize Home for the 2014 Boys & Girls Club Dream House Raffle, and a sponsor of the 2014 Denver Jewish Film Festival.
