Description

People often tease Lisa Lucky that her last name has a lot to do with her success. The truth is that luck has had very little to do with it – but hard work, honesty and integrity certainly have. Along with her husband Matt and daughter Laura, Lisa Lucky has pioneered an innovative path to achievement.

It’s been said that real estate worth is determined by three important factors: “location, location and location.” Perhaps just as crucial, is the value of your real estate professional – and with Lisa Lucky at the helm, value is measured by “results, results and results!”

Lisa has been in the top 1% of Russ Lyon | Sotheby's International Realty agents since 2006; quite an accomplishment as there are nearly 1000 esteemed agents in the group. However, for the past three years in a row, Lisa earned the coveted top spot within the entire company and has been ranked the #1 agent by sales volume. “Garnering the top position within Russ Lyon | Sotheby’s is definitely a point of pride within my career,” says Lisa, “yet it’s also incredibly humbling, as I’m surrounded by excellent colleagues within this organization.”

As a child and young adult, Lisa grew up living in Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. She partially credits her genteel Southern upbringing for instilling both the value of hard work and an ethic of integrity. She adds that her father always taught her to do what's in the best interest of her clients. "He told me that if you do that, things will always work out for the best. I use his advice every day."

Prior to her career in real estate, this graduate of Vanderbilt University worked in sales and franchise marketing. She also spent 10 years managing her father's cosmetic surgery practice. "All of these professional experiences have served me well in understanding complex financial transactions as well as the importance of actively listening to and communicating with my clients."

Lisa, a resident of the North Scottsdale community of Troon Village, began her real estate career in 1999 at Pinnacle Peak Realty, which was later bought by Coldwell Banker. In 2003, she earned her Associate Broker's license and later that same year, moved to Russ Lyon, now Russ Lyon | Sotheby's International Realty.

In 2005, Matt joined Lisa full-time as a real estate partner. "But we've been 'partners in life' for over a quarter of a century," she says with a laugh. “Not only are we great business partners, but he’s my favorite travel partner too!” When it’s time for some respite, these two enthusiastic world travelers might be spotted on an annual summer vacation to a variety of European locales, including a personal favorite of Lisa’s: the Tauck river cruise.

Following in her parent’s footsteps, their daughter Laura acquired her Arizona Real Estate License at just 18 years old. She then graduated from Arizona State University with a Business of Science degree in Marketing and International Business. “Laura brings a fresh perspective to our team and has been instrumental in integrating new marketing and promotional strategies for our clients,” Lisa says.

Lisa takes none of the success she, Matt and Laura have achieved for granted. "We have worked very hard from 'day one' and feel very blessed that we have achieved the accolades and recognition from our peers and from the business community."

Describing herself as "organized, honest and happy," Lisa says that, along with hard work, honesty and a strong referral business, first-class marketing is at the heart of what has helped her achieve consistent success. "Our marketing materials are head and shoulders above the competition. We’ve developed a semiannual glossy lifestyle and real estate publication, The Lucky Collection, which has amassed quite a fan base here in North Scottsdale. Plus, our state-of-the-art website, which Matt manages and is undergoing an exciting renovation, has earned repeated kudos from colleagues and clients alike for being easy to navigate and full of valuable information. "

So, what's the bottom line for this Lucky lady? “I love the fact that we're surrounded by other successful agents, because it pushes me to be even better. Matt, Laura and I believe that failure is just not an option; we always do what we say we're going to do and we never, never, never give up!"
