After researching many companies and realtors, Wendi Slaton Anderson stood out as the right fit for me and proved to be so in more ways than I could’ve known at the time. Originally, I was attracted to the award-winning, female-owned local business that gave back to non-profits with every sell. I thought I may have to sacrifice some perks of going with a big business, but I could not have been more wrong. Had it not been for Wendi and her team at Roots, I likely would have overpaid for a subpar home in the excitement of becoming a first-time home buyer. Luckily, I found Roots, Wendi and most certainly what was always meant to be my home. (For those who don’t know–you will spend lots of time with your agent. You want to have one who is fun and enjoyable to be around.) She always had time for me and showed up for things she didn’t even need to be there for (like the inspection of the home). Wendi was reliable, prompt, and never had anything else on her mind besides finding me the perfect home–which she did! Another bonus, she understands how frustrating and complicated the mortgage side can be and has gone out of her way to find some of the best brokers in town. You’ll be spending lots of time with them as well. Like Wendi, they’re great people who are great at their job and are pleasant to spend time with. Trust me, I have seen both sides on this one. Some brokers are trying to “sell” you. Some are trying to help you….It makes a big difference in both your experience and your bank account. “PERFECT DECISION: As a Realtor in the Metro Atlanta area, I sometimes have the task of referring my clients to other Real Estate Professionals. I had the opportunity to refer my client/friend (Alice) to another professional in Austin TX. I thought not having a personal relationship with anyone, I would have a difficult time choosing someone who I could feel confident about helping Alice. This was not going to be an easy transaction since it involved an estate and my client would need a lot of help. This turned out to be NOT THE CASE at all. “I think the best way to explain how great Wendi and her team at Roots is…. I was actually a little sad the day our house sold. We got a great offer and a smooth transaction, but I was a little bummed because I knew I wouldn’t get to see or speak to her as often after the closing. Wendi made quite an impression on me. She represented the buyer on my personal residence which had 3 competitive offers on it within hours of being listed. Her professionalism, preparedness, quick response, realistic expectations, and charm made her clients offer stand out. She was polite and respectful when making arrangements to view my home both before and after it was under contract. I was happy with my listing agent, he got my house sold quickly. However, if I am ever to buy real estate in Austin again (moved out of state) I would contact Wendi to represent me. I referred her to my neighbor who sent me a bottle of wine as a "thank you" after Wendi secured a buyer for her unique home before it even went on the market.
