Ron Shelton

LIV Sotheby's International Realty

Description

Ron Shelton’s approach to real estate is simple, “no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care,” and it shows. His decades-long reputation for expertly matching people with slope-side condos and mountaintop retreats includes the first-ever Breckenridge home sale over $1 million, and later the first-ever sale over $5 million, but numbers aren’t the only benchmark of his success. Ron says it’s the people that matter most, and his nearly forty years in the business are a direct result of satisfied buyers, happy sellers, and an extensive local network of repeat and referral clientele.

“Summit County is one of those rare places where you can revel in the pristine wilderness and luxuriate in a five-star restaurant, all in the same afternoon,” he says. “My mission is to guide clients with an open mind and an open heart, delivering the highest level of service and expertise to make their Colorado dreams a reality.”

With nearly a lifetime spent in Summit County and a proven track record of results, Ron doesn’t just sell the Colorado lifestyle, he lives it. His earliest memories are riding horseback and rock climbing on the red rock formations at his family’s ranch southwest of Denver, now known as Roxborough State Park. His enthusiasm for outdoor recreation moved him to Summit County full-time at the threshold of his adult life, and he has been serving the area’s real estate needs ever since.

Coupled by his passion for the Summit County lifestyle, Ron’s knack for people is undeniable. His hands-on, no-nonsense broker style, translates to custom tailored marketing plans, thoughtful market reports and valuations, plus an introduction to everything Summit County has to offer. And while honesty, an open dialogue, and being a good listener are the keys to Ron’s lasting client relationships, he doesn’t just work to sell real estate.

His hobbies include skiing, sailing, scuba diving, traveling, photography, biking, and horseback riding. He lives on a 13-acre parcel between Breckenridge and Frisco with his wife, five horses, and two dogs. When he is not out facilitating a seamless sale or marketing one of Summit County’s incredible ski-in/ski-out properties, he can be found working on the next International Snow Sculpture Competition, held each January in Breckenridge, an event he and his teammates founded back in the in the early nineties to bring attention to the town and its greatest resource, snow!

He is also an advocate and strong supporter of Domus Pacis, a local non-profit organization that arranges respites for families on a journey through Cancer. Once a year, Ron gears up for his annual “Big Ride” with the Roundup Riders of the Rockies, where 150 men ride nose-to-tail, cavalry style, for about 20 miles a day through places like the Rio Grande National Forest, west and south of Alamosa.

If you are looking for an authentic, straight shooter, who can sift through the forest to find your perfect Summit County home, give Ron a call. Nothing pleases him more than to meet new people and become part of their story.
