Joseph A. "Bud" Mauro, REALTOR. A California Licensed Real Estate Broker Since 1974 CA DRE License # 00418645. Bud hails from Monessen, Pennsylvania. A 1958 graduate of Rostraver High School, now known as The Belle Vernon Area High School, in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. Bud enlisted in the United States Air Force while still in High School, but waited until after graduation to be inducted into the U.S. Air Force. Bud served for four years, stationed first at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, then at George Air Force Base in Victorville, CA, for the remainder of a four year enlistment, and then continued in the U.S.A.F., inactive reserves for two additional years. Bud met his wife, Roberta Krumm at the Orange Show in Colton, California in February of 1961. They were married in October of 1961. October 2018 marked their fifty-seventh (57th) wedding anniversary. Bud and Roberta have three children, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Bud is a 1971 graduate of Santa Monica College, receiving an AA Degree in Business Administration, and a 1974 recipient of The Real Estate Certificate Institute (R.E.C.I.), through the California Association of REALTORS, at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA. Bud first arrived in California in May of 1959. Bud has resided in many California Cities in his early years, such as Victorville, 4 years, then Culver City, Mar Vista, Santa Monica and finally settling in The San Fernando Valley, Granada Hills, in October of 1971. The temperature was 118' (and no one complained of Global Warming) the day they moved into their new home...but it didn't seem that hot because as Bud says, ""There was no humidity"! Bud is now a 47 year resident of Granada Hills, California. In 1972, Bud obtained his real estate sales license and immediately achieved the status as one of the Valleys top Listing and Selling agents. In 1974 Bud obtained his CALIFORNIA REAL ESTATE BROKER'S LICENSE. In August of 1975 Bud opened one of the valley's largest real estate offices, maintaining an office staff of 60 salespersons and an employee staff of 6, and was the responsible REALTOR, for thousands of real estate transactions with a total market value of nearly 3/4's of a billion dollars. In 1986 Bud sold the office and immediately regained status as an established Top Agent for listing and selling real estate. Associated with RODEO REALTY, INC., Northridge Office, since Dec of 1991 (previously known as Parmount Properties), Bud is consistently recognized as one of RODEO REALTYS Top Agents. Having served as a member of the Board of Directors of THE SOUTHLAND REGIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS, (SRAR) for 20 years, and was recently elected to the Board of Director's for a two year term for 2018 & 2019. Bud is a member of the California Association of REALTORS, (C.A.R.), and served 8 years as a State Director on its Board of Directors. Bud served as the Chairman of Region 18 in 1999, and as acting Chairman in 2001. Bud has appeared in court proceedings as an expert witness involving Real Estate Standards of Practice matters. In 1997, Bud Mauro was elected to the post of President-Elect of SRAR, and in 1998 he was elected to the post of President of SRAR. The SRAR is a trade Organization consisting of approximately 10,000 + real estate licensees in the San Fernando and The Santa Clarita Valleys. Bud served as the Chairman of the Finance Committee, a member of the Governmental Affairs Committee, and a member of the Independent Expenditures Committee. Bud also served as a Director on the Southland Regional Association of REALTORS, Foundation; served as Regional Representative to the C.A.R. Nominating Committee, Regional Representative for the C.A.R. Taxation Committee, Region 18 Liaison to the Strategic Planning and Finance Committee, and as a member of the REALTOR, Consumer Protection Committee; 2007 Chairman of the By-laws committee; 2008 Vice-Chairman of By-Laws committee; 2007-2019 member of the MLS Committee, and also served as Chairman of the MLS committee, and as a member of the MLS Rules & Compliance Sub-committee, and as a member of the CommunicationCommittee's sub-committee (2019).

Bud is chairman of the REAL ESTATE NETWORK meeting, a position he has held for 20 years, since it's inception. Bud is a civic minded individual and served as a member of The Citizens Advisory Council on Taxation for Assemblyman Keith Richman (d); and as a member of the Committee Police Advisory Board at Los Angeles Police Department's Devonshire Division. Bud is also involved with Graffiti remediation for Northridge, Porter Ranch, Granada Hills, Sylmar and the other surrounding communities.
