After thirty years of practicing law at several large NYC firms and also at The Walt Disney Company for the past 25 years, I decided to take an early retirement incentive package that would allow me to pursue my personal passions. Realizing my goal of not being trapped in a full-time corporate job was what lead me to real estate as my next adventure. I wanted a career where I could put my negotiation skills, my love of houses, decorating, and gardening to good use. My desire to work with people and assist them in one of the biggest moments in their lives led me to get my real estate broker's license.I recently joined Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty after working for a small boutique firm in Douglaston for two years because I was so impressed with the Daniel Gale premium brand and its marketing strength. In my first month and a half at DGSIR, I was able to secure a $2 million listing here in Douglaston. In my prior position I worked most frequently with first-time home buyers and found not only success, but also a passion for helping people find the right home. Some of my proudest moments are when I successfully staged a multi-million house in Douglas Manor (even decorating the house for Christmas tree and all!) as well as assisting a senior citizen as he moved from a large house in Westchester to a co-op here in Queens.I am committed to do anything and everything to assist my clients in selling their most prized possession, or, alternatively, to assist them in purchasing their first property and hopefully their dream home! Both my husband and I have been very active in our community since we moved to Queens 19 years ago. From participating in the PS 98 and MS 67 PTAs, to my board memberships with the Douglaston Historical Society, the Douglas Manor Association, the Douglaston/ Little Neck Local Development Corporation, and the Douglaston Garden Club, I have worked hard to improve the community and the quality of life here in Douglaston. I was also proud to assist in bringing the NYC Grow NY Greenmarket to Douglaston several years ago, which was a welcome addition to our community for several years. My husband Dennis is an active member of the Douglaston Civic Association, the Douglaston Parade Committee, and also serves as the Legal Co-Chair of the Douglaston Manor Association Board with me. We’re very proud of our children, Kristina and Nick, who grew up in Queens and attended PS 98 and MS 67, where they received an outstanding education, leading to their acceptance at two of the top-ten rated U.S. colleges.I am very excited about my new career at Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty and I am committed to providing top quality service to clients who choose to list or purchase with Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. I feel that my background and experience as a transactional lawyer has provided me with invaluable skills for this new role, and I am dedicated to achieving the very best results for all of my clients.
