A south Florida native, Melissa grew up visiting job sites gaining an eye for design from her father, a commercial architect. It was these early memories watching firsthand the process of design and construction that led her into the real estate industry. Melissa began her own real estate career in 2005 after graduating from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration. Moving to Las Vegas to take a position in New Home Sales with Pulte Homes, Melissa gained valuable experience selling high volumes of real estate, from marketing and building relationships to understanding financing and negotiating on behalf of her company.
Within her first year as an agent, she was a Top Performer at Pulte Homes selling approximately 200 homes over the course of five years. In 2009, Melissa relocated to Park City, joining Ivory Homes, Utah’s number one homebuilder, and sold properties in Summit, Salt Lake and the Utah county areas. Working alongside architects and designers, Melissa gained valuable experience working with her clients to customize and design their homes. She then began representing buyers and sellers in the resale market all over the Park City area. From primary family home purchases and vacation properties to representing sellers on luxury contemporary listings, Melissa has experience across all aspects of the real estate industry.
After joining Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, Melissa’s expertise in new construction led her to represent Holmes Homes developments in the up-and-coming picturesque Jordanelle area of Utah. Quickly recognized for her abilities in understanding high-end markets, new developments, and the hospitality component so common in the resort market, Melissa was promoted to Vice President of Builder and Development Services at Summit Sotheby’s.
In her current role, Melissa helps oversee the developments represented by Summit Sotheby’s within the areas of Park City, Greater Salt Lake and St. George Markets, ensuring outstanding service while achieving developers’ goals. Working alongside Summit Sotheby’s executive team, Melissa’s wide range of responsibilities include assisting developers to identify the best design and product for their locations, preparing budgets, forecasting, devising pricing strategies, creating the overall marketing plans, managing their launching, creating budgets, and identifying senior sales teams to represent Summit Sotheby’s developments. With a strong sales and marketing mindset, Melissa enjoys tracking competing projects and carving out distinct advantages for each development Summit Sotheby’s represents.
