Lois Cumming was one of the first group of Loreto Bay homeowners who fell in love with the Baja, purchased lots in 2003, and then built homes that were ready for occupancy in 2005. Lois was born in Ontario, Canada but her family moved “out West” to British Columbia when she was a preschooler so most of her early education was obtained in the Vancouver, British Columbia area.
Lois graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a degree in Nutrition and worked in public health units and hospitals in Vancouver for the first ten years of her career.
She returned to university to complete a Masters in Business Administration, majoring in the Management of Information Systems (MIS). For the next twenty plus years, Lois managed large scale IT projects that upgraded infrastructure (networks, data center equipment, and mission critical systems) for British Columbia Government Crown Corporations, ministries and UBC.
Lois was a member of her SubRegime Surveillance Committee since the formation of the Loreto Bay Homeowners Association (HOA) but after retiring to Loreto, between 2013 and 2016, she worked tirelessly as a volunteer for the HOA, chairing and working on a variety of committees: Communication, Legal, Delinquency Solutions, Contracts, Legal, Community Planning, and the Managing Agent Committee.
Lois is looking forward to applying everything she has learned about purchasing homes and living on the Baja to ensure the area continues to develop and grow. She is excited about being a part of the Engel & Völkers Snell Real Estate family!
