We met Dave a number of years ago when we visited an open house he was holding for a house we were interested in. We subsequently made an offer on the house with Dave as our agent. He represented both buyer and seller but he did it in a fair and professional manner. All parties were happy with the transaction. He was our agent when we put our former home on the market and despite the downturn in the real estate market at the time, he marketed it well and it sold fairly quickly. We have become friends and he was in fact a close neighbor, until we recently purchased another home with Dave as our agent. David Duffie very effectively managed two extremely complicated real estate transactions for us over the past 10 years. Both were tax exempt exchanges of income properties.

Without David's expertise, the first transaction in which he sold a house in Incline Village would not have occurred. We had a house in Del Mar, California in escrow when we went to him to help us find an exchange property in Incline Village. After he found us a house in Incline Village and this potential purchase was in escrow, our property in Del Mar went out of escrow. With this complication, David worked to keep the owner of the Incline property in line with the deal until we found a new buyer in Del Mar. Without David's motivation and experience, I do not believe that the transaction would have occurred.

Again, in 2013, he guided us through another exchange. For this second exchange he sold one property and found an excellent second property for us. The negotiations for the purchase of this replacement property was very complicated. It required many offers and counter offers over about four months. Without David's persistence and experience, we doubt that the deal would have been successfully concluded.

In dealing with David for more than a decade, we have also been impressed by his competence, knowledge of the market, and his integrity and honesty. In conclusion, we can confidently recommend him as a real estate agent to all.
