Steve Yates was born and raised in Southern California and earned a business marketing degree from the University of California. After college, because of his great interest in sports, he was employed as the west coast regional sales manager in the Sporting Goods industry. After many years of very successful sales, he was appointed National Sales manager for a German sport optical company. As a result, he was able to learn conversational German and travel extensively in the US and Europe as part of the business. As he traveled for business, Mr. Yates discovered the Southeastern United States and moved to Florida. He began his Real Estate career on the island of Sanibel/Captiva. As a result of strong Real Estate sales and listings, he was recruited by Prudential Realty and offered a position in the Flagship office in Fort Lauderdale. He soon earned many Top Agent Awards and was the recipient of the Prudential Chairman's Circle Award for 5 consecutive years, which honors the top 1% of agents in the United States. In 1998, Mr. Yates joined Intercoastal Realty. It has been an honor to be part of the "Intercoastal Family". He believes that there is no finer real estate firm in the United States today.
