Wendy Wheeler has been a realtor for over 24 years and has relished every moment. Combining her in-depth knowledge of accounting and taxes with the local area’s real estate investment and residential opportunities, Wendy is passionate about helping every client she serves to make optimal real estate decisions that will likely be the most important purchase of their lives. Her success is apparent with the consummate trust from her clients who often refer their friends and family, including children who are now adults and ready to purchase their first home.
Prior to her career as a realtor, Wendy obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Utah. Shortly after graduating, she began working for one of the largest public accounting firms in the world, KPMG Peat Marwick, serving real estate and banking clients as a public accountant. After several years in finance, she decided to shift gears and become a real estate agent, applying her extensive knowledge of accounting for the two industries she served. Her clients now - the investors, new homeowners, and those seeking to make sound retirement choices - are grateful for it. They appreciate that she can advise them on tax advantages and offer invaluable support with their investment decisions.
Wendy has plenty of hands-on experience as a property owner and investor. Over the years, she has purchased, sold, and managed a number of properties of her own and for others. The job perks of flexibility, the fact that there’s always something new and interesting to learn, and that she meets new people, many of them evolving into lasting friendships, are all factors in the pleasure of going to work every day. “The greatest reward though,” she explains, “are the smiles on my client’s faces when they find their dream home.” From her hard work and dedication for every one of her clients, regardless of the investment size, she’s gratefully reaped the reward of repeat customers and endless referrals.
Along with a successful career in real estate, Wendy is blessed with four very active children. She resides in Olympus Cove and enjoys the occasional theatre production, watching her kids play their variety of sports, and scrapbooking. She also maintains a balance between work and leisure by spending time outdoors camping with her family.
I could give Wendy a 100 star rating. She is everything we wanted/needed in a realtor. We moved from out of state and Wendy was so easy to work with from afar as well as dedicating ample time to us when we came out to look at houses. She made the whole process seamless from top to bottom. She’s been in the area a long time and offered wonderful advice/knowledge on areas after getting to know us and what we were looking for. We have used other realtors in the past and Wendy is top notch. Professional, personable, willing to go to bat for her clients, thorough, and works harder than anyone I know. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a successful relocating experience. Thank you, Wendy!

I have bought and sold 25 properties, personal or investment purposes and I give her my absolute highest recommendation without qualification. We as siblings were selling my elderly mother’s home with Wendy, and it sold in two days. That was not because she had it priced too low, but because of the excellent preparation of the house that Wendy had us do. The house was ready to sell for a good price, and it did. I would recommend Wendy to anyone who is buying or selling a property.

I have absolutely nothing but positives in my experience with Wendy Wheeler as our broker. My brothers and I set about selling our elderly mother’s home, which was certainly a daunting task, but Wendy helped make it seem feasible and encouraged us throughout the process. She initially aided us in creating a comprehensive list of what needed to be done to prepare the house to be sold. No detail was overlooked, and as a result, we knew the exact steps required to make the house marketable. She frequently contacted me to provide support, to answer questions, or to volunteer her physical help. She would meet me at the house whenever I needed for any reason. She not only supplied references for cleaning, yard work, window washing, etc., she even contacted these service providers herself and set up the appointments. Wendy was extremely professional, but also seemed approachable, friendly, and personal. For instance, during our months of preparing for the house to go on the market, Wendy discovered that one of my family members was experiencing a serious health issue. She was genuinely concerned for me and carried through with support and thoughtfulness until the scare was over. Because of Wendy’s expertise, our mother’s home went from date of listing to date of closing in less than two weeks. I would definitely not hesitate to hire her for any of our future real estate needs!

Wendy did a fabulous job at all of the following, all in a very short period of time: helping us know what was needed to get our mom's home ready for sale (a big undertaking); staging it for listing and showing; evaluating and presenting offers; negotiating a very favorable price; and getting the sale closed on time. Her high level of responsiveness and unfailingly positive attitude were especially appreciated. I've participated in hundreds of transactions during my 32-years of practicing law, and I never encountered anyone more enjoyable to work with than Wendy.

When we first met with Wendy to explore and discuss whether or not to put our home on the market we were touched by how well she listened to our concerns and then communicated to us the pros and cons of listing or not listing our home. It became evident that her primary goal was to help us decide what to do as she spent a couple of hours listening to and answering our questions. It also became evident that Wendy is very professional and highly thought of in the real estate community. The first measurable aspect of Wendy’s professionalism came after we decided that putting our home on the market was the right thing to do. Wendy got right to work. She hired a great stager to make our home look perfect then a skilled photographer to make the photos of our home look their absolute best. After our home was sold and it was time to close, Wendy made sure our closing agent was the best in the city and our closing went without a hitch. It was even fun! Wendy is a great communicator. She provided lots of advanced notice when people wanted to view our home and almost immediate feedback afterwards. She never communicated anything but positivity during the time our home was on the market as well as after it sold. Wendy has a keen understanding of the Utah housing market in general and the Salt Lake City market specifically. She priced our home perfectly for a very quick sale and we were happy to receive an additional back up offer. Other very important, yet not always measurable aspects of Wendy’s professionalism are her integrity, engaging personality, and desire to do what is best for her clients. She works hard to build and maintain a positive relationship with her selling clients and with realtors representing buying clients. We can’t emphasize enough what a delightful experience we enjoyed as Wendy Wheeler represented us in selling our home. We know we will remain close friends and are grateful we chose her as our real estate agent.
