A skilled transaction negotiator, small business owner and accomplished interior designer, Buff Amis brings more than 30-years of experience to her longstanding real estate career, which includes a proven track record of results and a great respect for the people and homes she represents. "Having my own business taught me to listen carefully to my clients and what they desire," says Buff. "And real estate has always been my passion. I grew up touring open houses on Sundays with my parents all over Dallas, so I have a great appreciation for homes." In fact, real estate is in her genes - her mother built and decorated houses, and her brother is a noted architect. "If you're someone with a design challenge or are having difficulty with a sale, I can come in and tell you exactly what you need to do to sell your home fast," she says. Such confidence comes with her deep understanding of the local marketplace. Buff calls upon her design chops to help launch a property on the world stage and uses her extensive knowledge and experience to offer creative solutions that help people consider all possibilities during their home search. Coupled with her dedication to delivering the highest level of customer service, Buff's warm personality and results-driven approach are a clear advantage in today's competitive housing environment. Buff largely maintains much of her business through referrals - the highest compliment an agent can receive. "Buff sold our house for full price in less than a week due to her inside marketing skills," says one client. "Buff has a great understanding of the neighborhoods in north Dallas and was able to find us a great investment home," says another. By listening to people's needs and developing some of the strongest relationships in the business, Buff is able to confidently guide her clients to sound decisions, from buying and selling, to securing a home mortgage or hiring the right handyman. "Real estate is a very serious business but it should also be enjoyable and fun. My idea of relaxing has always been to look at homes on the computer. I am relentless in my search and don't stop until I find what my clients are looking for," says Buff. A longtime resident of the Park Cities, Buff is a Highland Park High School alumnus and attended the University of Florida and the University of Texas where she pledged Chi Omega. She is married to her husband of over 35 years, architect Tom Amis. "He understands my love of homes and can actually draw them for me," chuckles Buff. Together, they live happily in Dallas where they raised their two grown daughters. A pivotal fixture in the Dallas community, Buff gives back in a big way to local schools and organizations in the neighborhoods in which she serves - Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow and Lakewood. She is currently a member of the Dallas Preservation League and is actively involved in Highland Park Presbyterian Church.
