Bob Ginn Honored by Real Estate Apprentice Foundation Bob Ginn of Harry Norman, Realtors’ Medlock Bridge Office was recognized by the Real Estate Apprentice Foundation as one of 10 grant recipients chosen from over 3,500 entries in the U.S. Bob will receive $5,000 in real estate education products, education, books and services from the Foundation. Bob joined the sales team of Harry Norman, Realtors at the Medlock Bridge office in June of this year. Originally from Brunswick, Georgia, Bob graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1970. After his service in the Army, Bob spent 27 years with IBM, retiring in 2004 as a Principal in Business Consulting Services. He and his wife then took an eight-month missionary sabbatical to the Pacific Islands. Their work gave them the opportunity to lead a team of sixteen individuals to New Zealand for two months to help local churches. The Ginn’s have returned to the Atlanta area and reside in Alpharetta. Bob concentrates on residential real estate in the 400 North corridor and plans to use his knowledge and experience to help buyers and sellers throughout this area. Bob is a member of the Northeast Atlanta Board of Realtors.

Diane Turton Appointed Member of Rider University’s Business Advisory Board POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NEW JERSEY (October 26, 2005) – Diane Turton, President and Broker/Owner of Diane Turton, Realtors, recently attended her first meeting as a newly appointed member of the Business Advisory Board of Rider University, her alma mater.  “The experience was both stimulating and gratifying, both professionally and personally. I am privileged to be part of this elite group of business leaders,” said Ms. Turton.  “As a Board member, I provide ideas and guidance on the continuing development of business education at Rider.  I appreciate the chance to give back to the university that provided me with such a solid foundation in the field that has become my life’s work.”Founded in 1983, Rider University’s Business Advisory Board (BAB) has been an increasingly valuable resource to the University.  BAB members have been instrumental in shaping the College of Business Administration’s (CBA) emphasis on experiential learning, particularly in the areas of communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.  As a body of informed, proactive advisers, the BAB has helped the School anticipate and address such issues as managing diversity, globalization, business ethics, total quality management and information technology.  Members also participate in the classroom as part of the “Cultivating Resources for Excellence in the World of Work” (CREWW), co-curricular program in Rider's College of Business Administration which focuses on the CBA mission of developing interpersonal and leadership skills.“We are pleased to have Ms. Turton join us,” said Dr. Larry Newman, Dean of the College of Business Administration   “Her, entrepreneurial spirit, leadership skills, and extensive community involvement will be valuable assets to our Business Advisory Board.”

Average Price of Tahoe Home Reaches $1 Million(Lake Tahoe, Nevada) - The average price of a single-family home crept over the $1 million mark this quarter, according to a quarterly analysis by Lake Tahoe-based real estate agency Chase International. The report, comparing third quarter figures 2004 to 2005, shows that the average home price around the lake has jumped 16 percent subsequently pushing the price to just over $1 million ($1,007,010) for the first time. Homes over a million continue to lead the market with a 60 percent increase in units sold.

Schoolcraft Atlanta Business Chronicle Atlanta's housing market roared on in the third quarter, with strong sales and strong prices showing no signs of abating. Homes sales rose 6.3 percent and the average sale price rose 7.1 percent, to $210,860, in the third quarter, according to data from the Georgia Multiple Listing Service. The figures are for the 20-county metro area, compared with a year earlier.

He graduated from Boston University in June 1970. He moved to Crested Butte in 1973 after operating "The Bistro" restaurant in Santa Fe. Jim eventually became actively involved in real estate and currently was the owner of Bighorn Realty/Coldwell Banker.
