Avram Goldman Selected to Serve on California MLS Board of Directors

SAN FRANCISCO – (May 6, 2008) – Pacific Union GMAC Real Estate is pleased to announce that President and CEO Avram Goldman was recently selected to serve on the newly created California Association of REALTORS® (CAR) Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Board of Directors. The Marin Association of REALTORS® (MAR) nominated Goldman for the position for his more than 30 years of experience as a Bay Area real estate executive, CAR selected him.Avram Goldman, President of Pacific Union GMAC Real Estate.“As President of The California Association of Realtors, I am excited and thrilled that Avram has accepted his position on the Board of Directors of the CAR’s statewide MLS. He holds the professional designation of Certified Real Estate Broker Manager (CRB).Goldman began his real estate career in 1979 as a sales associate with Valley of California Realty, where he managed the company’s Berkeley office it was acquired by Coldwell Banker. In 1998, Goldman served as President and Chief Operating Officer for the San Francisco Bay Area region, the flagship division of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in California. He has been President and CEO of Pacific Union since January 2007.A strong advocate for Habitat for Humanity, Goldman received the Humanitarian of the Year in 2006 from the San Francisco Habitat for Humanity chapter and was honored with the same award for the Mount Diablo Chapter in 2004.
