SARASOTA, Fla. – (May 5, 2008) –
Carla Rayman, director of international business development, and Patricia Tan, international sales director for Prudential Palms Realty
, have just returned from A Place in the Sun Live overseas property show in London. As exhibitors, they showcased the Sarasota lifestyle while promoting Prudential Palms Realty listings and passing out sales literature to many of the over 18,000 people who attended the show over three days. Their group included Tan and Rayman, along with Esti Baughen, Prudential Palms Realty international property specialist, Donna Scarlatelli, immigration lawyer and Renea Glendinning CPA, head of international division for the Sarasota accounting firm Kerkering Barberio. In addition to promoting the gulf coast lifestyle, Tan, Scarlatelli and Glendinning participated in seminar presentations regarding immigration to the United States.
“We had an absolutely fantastic trip,” remarked Rayman. “Our booth was busy non-stop. Everyone we met was very positive about Florida. Because of the value of the British pound, they seemed to be focused on the fact that now is a great time to invest.”A Place in the Sun Live is held four times a year, and to date has attracted up to 70,000 annual visitors looking for property investments, second homes, or permanent residences abroad. The London showcase counted almost 20,000 attendees who paid approximately $30 admission to visit the 300 exhibitors. Launched in 2005, the London show is now ranked among the UK’s top 40 consumer exhibitions.Statistically, 74% of those attending are considering purchasing property. Of those, 85% do not visit any other property exhibition. They are primarily 35-54 years of age. On average, they spend more than $320,000 on homes abroad.“The people we met were very qualified,” Tan commented. “Of those interested in purchasing, 63% would like to do so within the next 12 months. Of those, 43% are looking for investment property. We already have appointments set with those people who had their travel plans in place. International transactions can be complicated, which is why we have put together a team who can advise clients on all of the factors regarding their purchase. While in London, we also met with existing and prospective international partners who will work closely with Prudential Palms Realty to continually market our properties in the UK. These partners include real estate companies, as well as investment advisors.”Since creating the International Division at Prudential Palms Realty, Rayman also accompanied CEO Helen Sosso to a property show in Paris, France. Along with nine other agents from the Sarasota area, the group exhibited to both real estate professionals and members of the public. A presentation was made to the French brokers on Sarasota and Helen spoke of the amenities of the area and why it is a great time to invest. Rayman has already received inquiries from clients wishing to visit this summer. Her focus for the international division is to continue building a worldwide broker network and to be able to offer exclusive properties across the globe.Prudential Palms Realty combines top local agents with the latest technology to provide powerful strategies for finding or selling homes.
