The national award is given to deserving agents annually by Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate which is headquartered in Madison, New Jersey.

Randy Coffman and Gerrett Snedaker, partners in BHGRE|WCG, recognized Mara with the award at their annual Agent Recognition luncheon. Snedaker said “Mara is one of a handful of agents across the country to receive this prestigious award. We congratulate her on this meaningful and well-earned recognition.”

As a result of her community-based efforts, Coffman and Snedaker named Kahn the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate|Wine Country Group “Ambassador of Community Service.” Mara Kahn, Realtor®As such, she will work with them on community service activities and charitable efforts for all five of the company’s real estate offices.

Quoting from the award nomination letter, Snedaker said:

“Mara did many things this year that had an impact on thousands of children and families in our community. Last fall’s devastating wildfires fires afforded Mara the opportunity to organize, in partnership with Sonoma Valley Rotary, the creation and distribution of over 200 "Kitchens in a Box" for Sonoma Valley families whose homes were lost. As a realtor she knew that the kitchen is the heart of the home and the replacing kitchen items was vital to people’s well-being. Each kit had a value of approximately $750.00 - so she helped distribute approximately $150,000 in kitchen supplies to folks who had lost everything.”
