SARATOGA, CA — Alain Pinel Realtors (APR) is partnering with Save Our Shores to create a series of clean-up events across the Bay Area this summer. In addition to sponsoring the clean-up events, APR will make a $10,000 donation to Save Our Shores to further support its mission.
Save Our Shores is a marine conservation 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to address a diverse set of threats to the marine environment.
Working with Save Our Shores, the brokerage is recruiting volunteers to sign up for five separate clean-up events. Volunteers will learn about the impact of waste on the environment and work to find, bag and remove trash and debris among the selected beach, park and coastal environments.
The five volunteer events include:
- Baylands Nature Preserve, Palo Alto Saturday, June 23 from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
- Ocean Beach, San Francisco – Beach Clean-up Saturday, July 7 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Hellyer Park, San Jose – Park Clean-up Saturday, July 28 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Kirby Cove, Marin – Beach Clean-up Saturday, Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Oakland Estuary, Oakland – Kayak Clean-up Saturday, Aug. 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
“Alain Pinel Realtors has a long history of committing itself to supporting the communities where our agents and clients live and work,” said Mike Hulme, president of APR. “These communities are our homes as well as those of our clients, and we care about what happens to them. By supporting the mission of Save Our Shores, we can have a measurable and beneficial impact across the Bay Area. We’re eager to support the cause.”
In addition to its donation and volunteer recruitment efforts for the five area clean-up events, APR will be providing lunch and commemorative t-shirts for all registered volunteers.
All APR staff and agents plus friends and family are invited to sign up for any of the clean-up days. Interested volunteers should visit CommunityCleanup.apr.com to find out more and register.
“We’re so grateful to Alain Pinel Realtors for collaborating with us on these multiple clean-up efforts and for the amazing support they’ve given us,” noted Rod Caborn, development director for Save Our Shores. “This partnership empowers us to do much more than simply clean up beaches; it helps us educate Bay Area communities and make a difference. We thank Alain Pinel Realtors for clearly treasuring the communities where it does business and, more importantly, expressing that care by giving back.”
