Great Outdoors Colorado provides support to land conservation projects across the entire state, one of which is the Gunnison Ranchland Conservation Legacy.

Benson serves as a board member for the Gunnison Ranchland Conservation Legacy (GRCL). The GRCL works with established land trusts to assist ranching families protect their lands with conservation easements. Since its conception in 1996, the GRCL has helped families preserve more than 36,000 acres of ranchland.
