Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club Hosts Induction Dinner for Bailliage de Treasure Coast

Orchid Island Realty LogoORCHID, FL – On March 6, 2018, Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club was honored to host the induction and gala dinner for the Treasure Coast Bailliage (Chapter) of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs where six people were inducted and five were elevated to Officers. Susan Vareschi, the regional Bailli Provincial Southeast presided over the ceremony, where those elevated were Orchid Island Executive Chef, Chris Sozio to Culinaire, Orchid Island Members Joe Harding to Vice Chancelier and Carole Finck to Gastronomique, plus new Vice Chargés Donna Miller for Missions and Tim Whybrew for Presse. The Treasure Coast Chapter was initiated last year and currently has 30 members, including people who have transferred from other chapters in the US, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.

Executive Chef Sozio, along with Alex Heater, Orchid Island Food & Beverage Director and Orchid Island General Manager, Rob Tench, Maître de Table, planned and executed the wonderful dinner which was enjoyed by all. “Tonight’s dinner was completely reflective of the spirit and goal of the Chaine des Rotisseurs,” shared Tom Finck, the Bailli of the local Treasure Coast Chapter, “which is to offer the very best of culinary experiences, while encouraging the camaraderie of the table.”

Membership in the Chaîne is open to the Vero Beach Community by invitation.

The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs – is the world’s oldest international gastronomic society, founded in Paris in 1248. It is devoted to preserving the camaraderie and pleasures of the table and to promoting excellence in all areas of the hospitality arts. Chaîne is based on the traditions and practices of the old French royal guild of meat roasters.  Revived in 1950, the society has professional and amateur members in more than 90 countries worldwide.  In the United States, there are nearly 130 chapters, each offering a variety of culinary activities to suit the interests of local members.
