SEATTLE, WA – Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate hosted its 12th Annual Luxury Real Estate International Symposium on Tuesday, January 16th through the 18th, in London.
The event attracted top luxury real estate professionals, brokers and management from all over the world to exchange ideas, explore future business opportunities and generate global partnerships.
The International Symposium kicked off Tuesday with a tour of London aboard an iconic double-decker bus. Attendees visited major landmarks such as the London Bridge, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, among others. Following the city tour, guests met back at the hotel for drinks and hors d’oeuvres during the welcome reception.
The conference program commenced Wednesday featuring inspiring speakers, including world renowned philosopher and expert on global cities, Dr. Richard G. Smith. Smith discussed the extent to which the world’s leading and emerging global cities explain and predict the global market in prime luxury residential real estate. Vanessa Fukunaga, owner/CEO of Engel & Volkers Snell Real Estate and owner/publisher of Ocean Blue World, shared her insight during her presentation ‘Milestone Marketing, Savvy Branding & Promotional Events.’ Additional panels included ‘Government Regulations & Taxation – The Impact for Your Clients’ and ‘What is Your ‘Go To’ Marketing Strategy.’ The evening ended at Buckingham Arms, a traditional English pub, for a networking reception.
Thursday, attendees heard from several panelists focusing on ‘Proactively Generating Referrals’ and ‘International Business Development: A Focus on Asia,’ each followed by a lively group discussion. During the meeting, the Global Affiliate of the Year Award was presented to Italy Sotheby’s International Realty, who has exemplified continued commitment to the Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate network, and displayed excellence in networking, marketing and nourishing relationships with their peers. Guests were invited to attend a networking lunch, whereafter they were taken on a property tour hosted by Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate member Olivia Hsu Decker of Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty to see some of the best luxury real estate throughout London, modern, historic and architecturally significant.
The International Symposium concluded with a closing dinner at The Cinnamon Club, a contemporary restaurant set in a historic red-brick Victorian that was previously the old Westminster library.
