1513639033HONOLULU, HI – There are 28 million cancer survivors worldwide. To help raise funds and offer support, Elite Pacific Properties announced a new partnership with Maui based nonprofit cancer fundraising organization U vs Cancer/Us vs Cancer (UVSC) to accept donations from real estate sales made by Elite Pacific Properties’ agents. By streamlining the donation process, agents are able to easily donate at the end of a transaction to UVSC. As part of the community, Elite Pacific Properties believes that it is vital to give back to the Hawaii community and rally around those fighting cancer.

“We are thrilled to help UVSC offer community assistance to our Hawaii ohana in offsetting some of the cost of cancer treatment,” said Elite Pacific Properties Partner Greg Burns. UVSC raises money to support individuals with cancer, while also helping fund innovative research for a cure.

UVSC’s mission hits close to home as Burns’ lost his father to the disease, and many agents identify with the cause. UVSC was founded by Maui born duo Jamil Newirth and Chris Thibaut. Jamil Newith is a cancer survivor himself, and Thibaut lost his father, Rob Thibaut of T.S. Restaurants, to cancer in 1997. U vs Cancer/Us vs Cancer will utilize the funds raised to continue assisting local Hawaii families who are affected by a cancer diagnosis and their support of cancer research.
