DENVER, CO - LIV Sotheby’s International Realty broker, Chris Merman, will help “Light the Way” for Denver-area students by hosting the third-annual Light the Way for Denver Students Luminaria Event, which supports awareness surrounding equal academic opportunities for students within several Denver-area communities. Participants of this festive community event help “light the way” for equal educational opportunities for students in Denver’s Park Hill and Stapleton neighborhoods by displaying luminaries in front of their homes at dusk on December 24th.
“We’re looking forward to another great year of working with our neighbors to light-up our streets for students again this December 24th. It feels great to connect with the community and neighborhood schools in a meaningful way,” said Merman. “Each luminary represents our support of Denver students, no matter what school they attend.”
In its third year, the event primarily supports McAuliffe International School, Stedman Elementary, Park Hill Elementary and the YESS Institute, which serves over 250 high-risk students annually. Net proceeds raised through the sale of luminary kits, provided by LIV SIR broker, Chris Merman, are split between all four entities.
Participants can order luminary kits at www.2017holidayluminaria.eventbrite.com, now through December 10th. Luminary supply kits will then be distributed at the corner of 23rd and Dexter across from Spinelli's Market in Park Hill, on Saturday, December 16th, from 9am – 1pm and Sunday, December 17th, from noon – 4pm.
Area students benefiting from the proceeds will assist Merman and his team with the distribution of all of the luminary supplies.
