1486495972RAMSEY, NJ - “Tastings and Tapas,” Diabetes Foundation Inc.’s (DFI) tastings and auction fundraising event on Thursday, March 23rd from 6 – 10pm, promises to be a fun, memorable, and successful evening, thanks to support from the public and two prominent members of the Bergen County business community: Terrie O’Connor and Jack Daniels. Anticipating over 300 guests, Mr. Daniels has generously donated his Upper Saddle River Porsche dealership at 335 Route 17 South for this elegant public event. “The Diabetes Foundation is doing important work for adults and children living in New Jersey.  Without DFI many people would go without critical medication and supplies they need to survive.  It is my pleasure to donate space for the Tastings and Tapas event so they can raise the funds necessary to provide support to so many suffering from this disease.”

Terrie O’Connor, founder of Terrie O’Connor Realtors and well-known community leader, is “Tastings and Tapas’” 2017 Honorary Chair. “Having many friends, family members and a son-in-law with diabetes, I personally know how important the work that the Diabetes Foundation does for those in need.  I am very honored to be part of this most important evening.”

Stew Leonard’s Wines in Paramus will provide wine, beer, spirits and lemonade ‘tastings’ at the event. In addition, DFI will showcase tapas from area restaurants and specialty shops. Tastings & Tapas guests will also enjoy, silent auction, and a photo booth with DFI’s 2017 car raffle prize: a red 2017 Porsche 911.

DFI will use all proceeds from Tastings and Tapas to assist more low-income, uninsured, and under-insured New Jersey children and adults living with diabetes. Tickets range from $100 - $250.
