1468947828ESSEX, CT - William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that Heather Gagnon will now serve as Director of Business Development for the firm, and will be based out of the company’s four Connecticut Shoreline brokerages in Essex, Guilford, Madison and Old Lyme, Conn.

Gagnon will play a supporting role in working with the region’s two brokerage managers, Kathy Mitchell and Maureen Swarts, as well as the company’s Director of Education and Training, Lance Pendleton. She will focus on training and coaching agents in a variety of disciplines, with the goal of helping them to either maintain the level of business they are currently performing or to bring them to a higher level of production, depending on their own goals. Gagnon will host both group and one-on-one training sessions across the four brokerages every day of the week, in topics ranging from business planning to database management to lead generation.

“Heather is a dynamic real estate professional who brings a passion for helping real estate agents become the best agents they can be,” said Guilford and Madison brokerage manager Kathy Mitchell. “She comes to us with a strong background in customer service and professional development, and a tremendous talent for training and guiding agents while cheering them on for positive reinforcement the whole time.”

“Heather is a tremendous new asset for us, and her presence on our team is a significant differentiator for our company,” Essex and Old Lyme brokerage manager Maureen Swarts agreed. “Her approach is to service our agents with the same level of dedication as they serve their clients. It is rare for a real estate company to offer such an incredible level of support to their sales force in helping them build their business.”

Gagnon has been a licensed Realtor since 2002, and received her Connecticut broker’s license in 2015. Her prior experience includes bank management and education, with her previous position at Navy Federal Credit Union involving traveling to universities along the Eastern Seaboard to host financial planning seminars. She has three years of experience teaching real estate agents as an instructor in real estate principles and practices.

Born in Scotland and raised in Stonington, Conn., Gagnon currently resides in Old Lyme with her husband, with whom she has three children. An animal lover with two dogs, three cats and six chickens, Gagnon also enjoys the beach, traveling, bicycling and kayaking in her spare time.
