Two Zephyr Real Estate Representatives Elected as Officers in United Irish Cultural Center

1466524289SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Two eminent representatives from Zephyr Real Estate were sworn in on May 26 as officers for the United Irish Cultural Center. Michael Barnacle, Sales Manager at Zephyr’s Pacific Heights Office, is now President of the organization and Rebeca Moran, a Realtor at the Upper Market Office, is the new Treasurer.Rebeca Moran

The United Irish Cultural Center is a nonprofit organization for the enrichment of its members with social, recreational, athletic and cultural activities. It was established over 40 years ago and has served the Irish-American community in San Francisco ever since. Dedicated to preserving the Irish heritage, the Center was funded, built and completed in 1975. The facility includes a restaurant, bar and lounge, library, meeting rooms and a catering facility. A wide variety of events are hosted annually including weddings, ceilis, boxing, birthday parties, anniversaries, comedy shows and concerts.

Subsequently, the Leo Walsh Scholarship Program began in 1994 and has since awarded over 350 scholarships to middle school and high school graduates. The program has grown and continues to expand and thrive.

Michael BarnacleBarnacle has actively served on the Boards of both the United Irish Cultural Center and the Irish Cultural Center of California, each dedicated to the preservation of Irish heritage and culture both socially and through the arts and education. He has also served on various REALTOR association boards and committees, and has trained and mentored agents at all levels through the fulfillment of their goals. Moran is a Realtor at Zephyr’s Upper Market Office. She is well versed in large-scale multi-unit real estate projects such as Millwheel, Esprit Park and Sierra Heights. Her other passion is education and seeing under-represented college students succeed. She has lectured at San Francisco State University and Bay Area Colleges, and holds a B.A. in International Relations and an M.A. in Intercultural Speech Communication.
