Prior to her affiliation with LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, Cindy Oakes worked for Steelcase, the world’s largest office furniture manufacturer, building and maintaining relationships with clients and supporting the company’s global workplace strategies. Her success in marketing and sales led her to earn several awards and a position in Learning and Development where she trained sales leaders and mentored new hires. Cindy’s extensive sales and training background has taught her to always put the client first.
Born and raised in Chicago, Cindy moved to Denver to attend the University of Denver, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in French and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Cindy Oakes is LEED AP ID+C accredited, giving her extensive knowledge in green building practices and requirements. 
Cindy is highly involved in the community, and volunteers for the Challenge Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping teens break the cycle of poverty through educational opportunities. She is also a dedicated member of the Alliance Française, where she cultivates her knowledge of the French language and culture, offering her clients the added benefit of being fluent in both English and French.
Cindy is married to Terry Oakes, her business partner and a top producing LIV Sotheby’s International Realty broker. Terry Oakes is continually ranked among the top broker tier at LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, and has been listed as a 5280 Magazine “Five Star Agent” since its inception. As a Platinum member of the Denver Board of Realtors Million Dollar Roundtable, his commitment to the industry has firmly established him as one of the premier leaders in the Denver metro luxury real estate market.
A 3rd generation Denver native, Terry Oakes is a graduate of Cherry Creek High School and Southern Methodist University. Terry has been active on the Boards of the Colorado Institute of Art, the Cherry Creek North Business Improvement District (appointed by Mayor John Hickenlooper), the Vail Racquet Club, Sunwood at Vail, and the Cherry Creek Tennis Association.
Additionally, Terry Oakes’s professional sales and marketing experience have earned him the coveted “Who’s Who in American Business” accolade since 1992 and “Who’s Who in America” recognition since 1996.
