1459795201DENVER, CO – Bob Serotta, an accomplished Broker Associate with Kentwood Real Estate DTC, has announced a major fundraising event to support Project PAVE, a nonprofit organization that promotes alternatives to violence through education.

The Transformations Scholarship Luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in the Seawall Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.  Serotta serves as Chairman of the Board of Project PAVE whose vision is to stop the generational cycle of relationship violence through a unique combination of intervention and counseling services, education around the prevention of violence, and youth leadership opportunities that give young advocates a voice.1459795181

“The Transformations Scholarship Luncheon is celebrating its 20th year of recognizing exceptional youth in our community,” said Serotta.  “Some of Project PAVE’s longtime board members and supporters were instrumental in the creation of this fundraising event, including Bill and Jeannie Ritter and Dean Prina.  Today, the luncheon is organized by board members and volunteers with help from local businesses and supporters.

“Premier sponsors include PC Crown and Family, CoBiz Financial, Greenberg Traurig, and Arrow Electronics,” Serotta continued.  “The funds raised from the luncheon will help provide no-cost therapy and family support services to young people who have experienced or witnessed violence, and violence prevention education programming throughout the metro Denver area.”

Funds are generated through sponsorships, ticket sales, and donations.  Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available online at www.projectpave.org.  The luncheon will be attended by more than 400 business, government, and community leaders.  This year’s event will recognize Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey and his wife Maggie for their support of Project PAVE and their efforts to end domestic violence in the Denver area.  The luncheon will also celebrate Project PAVE’s partnership with the Denver Broncos and other business representatives in attendance.

The luncheon will include youth emcees, scholarship recipient speakers, and youth performances.  The centerpiece of the luncheon is the award presentations and recognition of exceptional young people who are working to end relationship violence in their lives, their schools, and the community.  In addition, the event will honor PAVE’s 30 years of service in the community, with many current and former PAVE board members in attendance.
