1455726734DALLAS, TX - The sprawling Waggoner Ranch, famous as the largest ranch under one fench in the United States, has been approved for sale to the owner of the L.A. Rams, Stan Kroenke. Listed at $725 million, this will be the first time in history that this land has been for sale.

Covering approximately 535,000 acres, the land is used for crops, cattle raising, horse breeding, and oil extraction. Stan Kroenke, a member of the Walton family and owner of Denver-based Kroenke Sports Enterprises, claims he will continue to preserve and protect the "uniquely American treasure." Dallas Business Journal reports:

The 167-year-old ranch — which includes thousands of cattle, hundreds of horses and oil wells, and 30,000 acres of farmland — was expected to sell at year-end in 2015, but the deal trailed through this year before landing at Kroenke's feet.

Waggoner Ranch was put on the market in August 2014, after years of legal proceedings between the heirs of cattle and oil baron W.T. Waggoner over whether the ranch should be sold.

Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate member Bernard "Bernie" Uechtritz of Briggs Freeman Sotheby International Realty is the listing agent for this enormous deal.
