HOUSTON, TX - Each fall, the Twilight Gala brings people together for an evening of fun, food, music and dancing, live and silent auctions to celebrate the year’s accomplishments of The Hana and Arthur Nature 
Discovery Center. The Nature Discover Center is a not-for-profit organization that offers nature education classes and access to the much-loved nature park nestled in Bellaire. This year’s 21st Annual Twilight Gala was chaired by John Daugherty, Realtors own top producer Lisa Kornhauser and raised an incredible $113,000.
As the Center’s largest annual fundraiser, proceeds from the gala support the Center’s operations, including on-site school group tours and outreach programs for preschool through 5th grade students.
More than 300 people attended the event at the Houstonian Hotel, featuring Master of Ceremonies Tom Koch, who is Channel 13’s morning news anchor, as well as a member of Nature Discovery Center’s Advisory Board. The live auction was emceed by auctioneer Ed Phillips and featured an original painting created during the event by contemporary Houston artist Taft McWhorter.
