ATLANTA – (Oct. 24, 2007) – For 41 agents and staff members of Jenny Pruitt & Associates, their Saturday plans were volunteering at an Atlanta Board of Realtors’ Habitat for Humanity build day.Jenni Bonura, associate broker of Jenny Pruitt & Associates’ Buckhead office, came out to help the project and show her support. “We had a huge turnout of energetic and hard-working volunteers, along with the well-organized Habitat leaders and home buyers. Not only did we accomplish a great deal together, but the teamwork and camaraderie were incredible! This event was especially powerful because with sweat equity and the inspiring grassroots atmosphere, we all worked toward a common goal – making Atlanta the best it can be by getting involved.”Inspired to help a family of five, including two children and a newborn, the Jenny Pruitt & Associates staff and agents dedicated time, materials, and household items, as well as financial donations to ensure that one Atlanta family had a home in time for the holiday season. Under the supervision of a Habitat for Humanity on-site construction manager, the Jenny Pruitt & Associates group caulked, painted, measured, prepared and installed porch railings, and completed the roof and trim of the home.As required by Habitat for Humanity, the new homeowners were on site helping build their future home. In addition to the actual work hours, Habitat for Humanity applicants must complete a lengthy screening and qualification process before they are approved for the project.
