SANTA BARBARA, CA – The fifth annual Salute to Teachers Golf Tournament and Cocktail Party, benefitting Teacher’s Fund, was the most successful tournament for this charity, to date.
Since it’s inception, Teacher’s Fund has awarded over $1.3 million dollars to local teachers. The non-profit organization was established to assist Santa Barbara County public and private preschool, elementary, middle and high school teachers in obtaining the tools and materials they need for their classrooms and students. The goal is to fund classroom needs that are not covered through school or district budgets; needs often paid for by the teachers themselves. Teacher’s Fund was founded in 2002 by Village Properties, who for many years was the sole supporter. Today, Teacher’s Fund is supported by individuals, businesses and foundations throughout Santa Barbara County. Teacher’s Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation.
