1447097647TAVERNIER, FL – Island Equity Real Estate, locally owned independent real estate company, is marking its 10th anniversary by giving back and contributing to local charities and faith communities that make a positive impact in the Florida Keys. Long-time customers of Island Equity were asked to identify community groups that would serve as recipients of the 10-year celebration gift.

“Celebrating Island Equity’s 10th anniversary is a tremendous milestone,” said Holly Hight, Broker of Island Equity Real Estate. “We opened the company independently, without a franchise label, because we wanted our work to speak for itself. Our customers have proven that a locally owned Florida Keys company can be an international competitor in the real estate market. For that, we are grateful.”

Ana Zalesky is looking forward to the years ahead, “We are inspired to do even better in the next 10 years – better for our customers and better for our community.”

The charities receiving contributions from the company were some of the guests at Island Equity Real Estate’s customer appreciation event on October 23rd at the Old Road Gallery on Plantation Key. This event was hosted as a thank you to clients and business representatives. One hundred fifty guests enjoyed the beautiful Old Road Gallery, their native hardwood trails and refurbished Red Cross House, a delicious harvest menu by a Little Taste of the Keys, spectacular music by David Feder and sweet smelling, stunning floral design by Islamorada South.

“We are grateful to the organizations that work every day to better the lives of our neighbors in need, and we felt our company’s 10th anniversary was the perfect opportunity to share this spirit of gratitude,” said Terri Bodker. Island Equity’s anniversary donation adds to the company’s tradition of philanthropy and charitable giving. Over the past ten years, Island Equity has donated more than $200,000 to organizations in the Florida Keys.

“We will continue to set high standards for ourselves and for our company,” commented Sunne Rego. Other team members include Karen Richards, Jo Foster Gunthner, Connie Zeckendorf, Jennifer Casariego and Autumn Damian.
