Carolina One-Backed Yearly Trade Show Draws Sizable Crowd to Convention Hall, Provides Scores of “Solutions” for Attendees

MT PLEASANT, SC - A blend of high-tech advice, marketing tips and educational talks drew throngs to Carolina One Real Estate’s one-day tradeshow blitz in North Charleston.
Billed as CoreSolutions: A Marketing & Technology Superstore, the event brought out more than 650 agency sales associates and staff plus guests to check out vendor booths, frequent seminars and absorb the latest tech trends from keynote speaker Jeff Gellman of N-Play real estate app provider.
The CoreSolutions title plays off the acronym for Carolina One Real Estate, which is CORE.
“One of the things that set Carolina One and its agents apart is our commitment to – and continuous focus on – education, marketing and technology,” says Michael Scarafile, company president.
“The time, energy and resources spent on these areas measure up to the yardstick against which we measure everything we do,” Scarafile says. Objectives consist of “what is best for the consumer,” plus “what is best for the agents” and “what, in accordance with our CORE values, is best for the company,” he says.
The Sept. 25 event marks the 15th consecutive year that Carolina One has provided agents with a show built around quality marketing and technology support, the company says.
Carolina One proclaimed the event, which took place at the Charleston Area Convention Center, “an overwhelming success.”
At least 90 vendors from greater Charleston and from 11 states as far away as California and Massachusetts set up more than 100 booths at the show.
The tradeshow, which ran from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., started off with an early bird workshop on“Marketing Tips from A-Z.”
Patty Scarafile, Carolina One chief executive; and president Michael Scarafile kicked off the general session, which also included market statistics reports.
Gellman, of Jacksonville, Fla.-based N-Play, spoke about the company’s efforts to offer real estate apps on Facebook that help connect home buyers, sellers and real estate professionals.
A dozen educational seminars ran alongside the tradeshow. Topics included Contracts and Flood Insurance Changes, and Handling Multiple Offers and Selling New Construction.
Comprising the show sponsors were The Post and Courier, Weeks & Irvine LLC, American Home Shield, Ricoh and Carolina One Mortgage.
Earlier, Michael Scarafile highlighted the importance of the show in comments to Carolina One agents and employees.
“We truly believe that it is the best single day you can spend working on your business,” he says. “With the market headed in the right direction, a lot of work left to be done in 2013 and planning for 2014 already underway, I applaud you for committing to bettering yourself and your business.”
