HOUSTON, TX - Home sales and prices in September were at an all-time high according to Houston Association of Realtors (HAR). In fact, locally owned independent real estate company, John Daugherty, Realtors had the highest September sales volume in the 49 year history of the company.

Over all Houston, home sales climbed 3.5 percent year-over-year in September, with a total of 6,691 single-family units sold versus 6,463 the previous year. The numbers were truly staggering, John Daugherty, Realtors’ sales were up 54 percent as compared to September 2014.

Houston housing inventory also increased slightly in September to 3.5-months supply compared to 2.9-months in September of 2014. In comparison, national housing inventory stands at 5.2-months supply.
