CUPERTINO, CA - Joe Brown, formerly the Managing Broker of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Los Altos office, has joined Intero Real Estate Services’ Willow Glen team as the new Vice President and Managing Officer.
With nearly three decades in real estate under his belt, Joe is a seasoned veteran in the industry. He has built a name for himself with his successful real estate career, beginning in 1980 when he closed 19 transactions in 12 months, an impressive feat considering the 16% interest rates at the time. In 1986, Joe earned his Broker’s license while owning his own company, Number One Realtors Ⓡ - Better Homes and Gardens. He became Branch Manager of Contempo Realty’s Willow Glen office in 1992, giving it the reputation as one of the most successful offices in the company.
During his time at Contempo, Joe also worked closely with Tom Tognoli (Intero’s President and CEO), Gino Blefari (Formerly Intero’s President and CEO, currently CEO of Berkshire-Hathaway Franchise Services), John Thompson (Intero’s COO), and Bob Moles (Intero Chairman).
“I feel as if I have come home to work with all these great people again,” said Joe, a Bay Area real estate veteran. “I've watched Intero’s growth closely as a competitor, and have always been impressed at the speed of their expansion and ability to become a dominant force in Bay Area real estate.”
Joe also previously served as the President and COO of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Silicon Valley, during which time he oversaw 28 offices and over 1,800 affiliated sales associates. He is highly regarded as a top recruiter in the industry.
A family man, Joe has been married to his wife Joy for 37 years and has two daughters, Mary Ann and Liz, as well as a 16 month old grandson, Benjamin. In his free time, he has coached high school softball, basketball, and soccer.
