Morris, who served as CEO for more than a decade, led Market Leader through some of the most volatile times in the history of the real estate and technology industries. Ian Morris served as the President and CEO of Market Leader for more than a decade, establishing the company as the leading provider of software-as-a-service solutions to the real estate industry. Under his leadership, Market Leader was ranked the fourth Fastest Growing Technology Company in North America, leading to a successful IPO in 2004, and later, the sale of the company to Trulia for $380 million in 2013.
An online real estate pioneer, Ian has been a keynote speaker at a number of real estate conferences, has been frequently named as "One of the Real Estate Industry's Most Influential People," and was the Inman Innovator of the Year. He also wrote Game Plan: How Real Estate Professionals can Thrive in an Uncertain Future, a book he co-authored with REAL Trends Editor and President, Steve Murray.
Before joining Market Leader, Ian spent seven years at Microsoft where he led a number of the company’s early online marketing efforts and later served as the General Manager of Microsoft HomeAdvisor. Ian is a graduate of Bryant University, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and currently serves as a strategic advisor and board member with leading technology companies including Porch.com and Marchex.
