NEWPORT COUNTY, RI – Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty announced the sale of the historic ‘Stonybrook Carriage House’ at 502 Indian Avenue in Middletown, Rhode Island for $3,575,000. The transaction represents the highest sale this year in Middletown.
This historic gem designed by Horace Trumbauer, made of stone and slate with bluestone terraces on two beautifully manicured acres, offers panoramic views of Indian Hill. The property included a custom pool, spa, pool house, and two elegant guest houses.
Don Desrosiers of Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller and Eddie Cushing of Re/MAX Professionals of Newport brought the buyer.
“Over the past 12 months, Newport Rhode Island real estate has seen 31 sales over a two million dollars,” commented co-owner Paul Leys. “The sale of this Indian Avenue property provides evidence that the luxury market, at least in resort locations such as Newport RI, is still very active.”
