SEATTLE, WA USA – John Brian Losh, chairman and publisher of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate and LuxuryRealEstate.com and CEO of Ewing & Clark, Seattle’s oldest brokerage firm, has joined the ranks of fellow charity-minded real estate philanthropists who support Giveback Homes, a trusted network of real estate professionals dedicated to creating social change. The Giveback Homes network offers opportunities to help provide homes to hundreds of people in need. As a supporter of this remarkable group of professionals working to instigate positive change, John Brian Losh’s connection with Ewing & Clark and the whole network of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate members will help raise awareness for this admirable cause across the world.
“Those of us who have been blessed with great success have the responsibility to support our communities and those less fortunate,” says John Brian Losh. “Giveback Homes goes direct to the source, providing shelter to those who need it.”
Since the official Giveback Homes launch in 2013, over 350 real estate professionals signed up to create social change in their industry. To date, Giveback Homes successfully built 39 homes in Nicaragua and coordinated seven Build Days in the United States. Many of its members including brokers, real estate agents and industry leaders picked up hammers, laid down bricks and personally hugged the families who would benefit from these generous donations.
“Our goal is to empower agents and homebuyers to turn the act of buying or selling a home, into an opportunity to change lives,” said Blake Andrews, Giveback Homes Founder. “John Brian Losh is a true pioneer in luxury real estate and will now be a major catalyst for social change.”
Inspired by their work at TOMS Shoes, Giveback Homes is the first real estate social good company that builds homes for families in need, fueled by the passion of real estate professionals. Through the partnership between Giveback Homes and Habitat for Humanity, 100 percent of donations go directly to building projects in developing countries in Central America and assisting with Build Days in the United States.
