NEWPORT, RI - Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty, a luxury real estate firm based in Newport, Rhode Island, announced the sale of 29 Brenton Road in Newport. The property sold for $2,150,000. Realtor Elena Wilcox, of Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty, represented the listing and had an offer within two weeks of the property going on the market. Re/MAX Professionals represented the buyer.
The 5,000-sf cottage sits on a private half-acre near the junction of Brenton and Beacon Hill Roads near the New York Yacht Club. The residence, built in 2002, offers first-floor guest quarters, second-floor family room, and master suite with a balcony, dressing room, marble bath, and laundry. There is also a third-floor bonus room with loft and decks on multiple levels. The grounds incorporate a pool, stone patios, and covered porches.
“This transaction, like many other high-end sales in our area of late, is a sign of confidence in the Southern New England market,” says Paul Leys, co-owner-broker of Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty. “Rhode Island has seen 28 properties sold so far this year for over $2 million.”
