1438100513JUPITER, FL - Rob Thomson, owner of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities, has taken to social media to aid in the search of Perry Cohen and Austin Stephanos, two 14 year old boys who went missing Friday in Jupiter, Florida.

Rob Thomson, a family friend, created the Facebook group Find Austin & Perry, explaining that it's the easiest way to communicate with many people at once. As WPTV reports,

In just 48 hours the group has over 40,000 members, with an average of 41 new membership requests per minute. When something new is posted to the page, the amount of requests sometimes double. Thomson describes the response as amazing and says he's seeing people from as far away Shanghai and London posting to the group and joining the search.

"New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Naples, Sarasota you name it," Thomson explained. "Again it just has no boundaries it really has brought an audience that's unbelievable."

According to posts by members of the group, people in other states are searching and combing beaches, flying planes and searching in boats. Efforts that show the power of social media.

Thomson says the best way to help in the search for Austin and Perry is to share posts from the group and to comb the beaches for the white Yeti cooler and engine cover not recovered with 19-foot boat recovered east of Ponce De Leon Inlet Sunday
