SAN FRANCISCO – (Aug. 22, 2007) – South Beach was buzzing with activity on August 9 thanks to the hugely successful evening of art and wine held at Pacific Union GMAC Real Estate on Bryant Street. The elegant event celebrated the past, present and future of the new Pacific Union as San Francisco’s premier real-estate firm, and attracted a hip, urban crowd reflective of the surrounding South Beach and SOMA neighborhoods it serves. One lucky client was the winner of two tickets donated by Teatro ZinZanni.“It was a wonderful evening at the Pacific Union South Beach Office, plus getting the call that I won tickets to a show that I've heard so many wonderful things about – I am thrilled,” said Ron Johnson, a client who worked with Pacific Union to purchase his home in Point Richmond. “I am looking forward to the Teatro ZinZanni experience. I have wanted to see this performance since moving here a year ago.”Teatro ZinZanni was created in 1988 by Pacific Northwest non-profit, arts-and-events producer One Reel, and enjoyed a sold-out 14-month run in Seattle before bringing its antique “spiegeltent” to San Francisco in 2000. It is now permanently located on Pier 29 along The City’s Embarcadero. Teatro ZinZanni is described as a bewitching evening of European cabaret and cirque, divas and madmen, spectacle and sensuality, with live music and a gourmet five-course dinner. In addition to the theater tickets, the South Beach community event featured art by painter Michael Krouse, catering by Set the Mood, jazz music by the B’Attitudes, wine donated by Murrieta’s Well and staging by Carole Soffer Design.Pacific Union is enjoying a modern-day renaissance designed to attract some attention. So watch out. The next Pacific Union arts event will be held in the fall at the Opera Plaza branch in the Civic Center.Be sure to save the date on October 25 to attend Discover Opera Plaza: an evening of film and wine, from 6-8 p.m. at the Opera Plaza office, 601 Van Ness Ave., San Francisco.
